Khervin John Gallandez (b. 1992) is a contemporary figurative painter from Laoag City, Ilocos Norte who employs the human form as a central metaphor in his work, crafting narratives that delve into the themes of resilience, vulnerability, and the interplay between the physical and the metaphysical. His evocative compositions balance finely rendered figures with symbolic imagery, creating a tension that invites introspection and emotional engagement.
Primarily working in oil, Gallandez imbues his canvases with depth and intensity by employing impasto technique in rendering his charged figures.
